2010 Toronto Arts Leage Welcome Message

Posted Sat May 01, 2010 - 06:45 AM

Welcome to the 2010 season of the Toronto Arts League Self Pitch Softball league.

Some suggestions for using this web page:

For Team Captains and Contacts:

Go to the teams section and start adding your team members to this years team (start entering a name in the blank field and it should pop up a list of possible matches. select the proper name and click "add".)

Contact any new team members and give them the URL for this web site (http://tal.redzoneleagues.com/) and have them register and request membership on your team.

For Everyone

Go to the "Forms and Files" section of the site and download the new schedule, 2010 rule book, and field permits. I'd suggest keeping all of these documents in your sports bag so they will always be available when needed.

That's all for now, good luck and have a fun 2010 season everyone.

Semi Final Results

Game 1 (Stanley Park): Remnants at home against Toronto Life:

Toronto Life 9
Remnants 11

Game 2 (Greenwood Park): Opera at home against Bain

Bain 25
Opera 5

--------------------

This means the finals are Remnants against Bain.

As the Remnants finished higher in the regular season standings, this means the Remnants have home field advantage and get to pick the home field ...

this means the finals will be:

Remnants at home against Bain at Stanley Park.

Good luck and have a great game everyone.

P.S. Anyone who wants to volunteer to umpire the final game will be more than welcome ... you can either post a message in the forum, email me at david.landry@gmail.com, or even just show up at Stanley Park at game time (6:30pm Thursday Sept 9, 2009)

Regular Season over - Playoffs begin

Great season everyone.

So here are the basics for the playoffs:

Game 1 - Greenwood Park: Opera at home against Bain Co-op.

Game 2 - Stanley Park: Remnants at home against Toronto Life.

-----------------

Anyone on the Badgers or Redwood teams that would like to volunteer to umpire one of the above games can email me (david.landry@gmail.com) with your preferred field and I will make sure the teams know you will be showing up.

-----------------

Not sure how all the playoff teams are set for game balls, but just in case I would suggest that all teams, whether home or away, bring a new game ball with them next week if you have one, and that the semi-final winning teams make sure they have a game ball to take with them to the finals whether they are home or away ... so, if you win the game next week, and you don't have any game balls left, check with the losing team to see if they have any game balls and ask to borrow it for the finals (we can post the "loan" to the web site so we remember next year who owns what team any game balls.)

----------------

That's it for now ... everyone have a good game next week and good luck to all.
